Seriously.. just.. Watch.
First, I don't think Katy Perry is a good artist. What I heard in some live videos.. Well can't describe comparing to what we can hear on the album.
Although, I have to admmit one thing, as a person that believes that music can change lifes, Katty Perry may have changed some with this music. Ok, maybe she isn't the author of the lyrics, maybe she has nothing to do with the producition of the music but it was her that made it popular. And we can't deny the fact that she did an AMAZING job and even though she won't make the song sounds so perfectly live, the thruth is that, at least for me, this music is inspiring. I know I have had in the past shared this song but I was watching this video and thought I should share with you guys.
Perry opens the video gazing down upon the city from a balcony. As she sings into the night, fireworks shoot from her chest and soon inspire young people throughout the city to overcome their fears and insecurities, in the process igniting their own fireworks. A shy overweight girl, playing the role of wallflower at a pool party, finds the courage to shed her clothes and jump in the pool. A leukemia patient at a children's hospital proves to herself that she can show herself out on the street and in public despite her loss of hair. A teenage boy finds confidence in his sexuality and approaches his friend at a party and kisses him. A struggling young performer walking home in a dark alley uses tricks from his magic act to win over a group of street thugs who were trying to rob him. A boy confronts his fighting parents and pushes them apart because their shouting is upsetting his little sister. Soon the youth of the city are converging upon the courtyard of Buda Castle, dancing and lighting up the night with their own fireworks.
