Missy Higgins - The Special two

Missy Higgins (Melissa Morrison Higgins) is an Australian pop singer-songwriter, musician and actor.Her album THe Sound of White (the one I'm listening right now) was number 1 in Australia. She won a contest for unsigned artists with a song she wrote for an assignment at Geelong Grammar School.

This song is from her album The Sound of White, released on April 4, 2005.
She has said of the lyrics, Basically I made a big mistake [...] I fell into a lump of depression, locking myself out the back in the bungalow. After a couple of days I came up with the song. I played it to that person and it was therapeutic. It was a good sorry letter.

I guess she lied to someone very close to her:

But i was comfortable and warm inside my shell,

So is it better to tell and hurt or lie to save their face?
Well i guess the answer is don't do it in the first place.
