One year ago

One year ago I was having one of my best nights ever.  A night I was waiting for for a couple of months. A night full of energy. A night to remember.

July 2nd 2010 was the day I saw P!nk for the very first time live. And you can imagine it was amazing, even better than what I was expecting and believe me my expectations were way high.

P!nk was the first woman headlining Wireless Festival – a festival that happens once a year in London. She was the last one of the night.

First were the ‘Bowling for Soup’ and ‘Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders’, didn't like it..

The afternoon got some meaning when Beth Ditto – the singer of 'Gossip' – got on the stage. It was such a concert. I didn’t know the band, only one or two songs. At the end I was surprised with the vocal abilities of their singer.

After that we had the pleasure to warm with 'The Ting Tings', how wonderful it is when one girl and one guy make a concert by themselves with so much energy to share with the crowd, hun?

Last but not the least, of course, P!nk. She was supposed to act at 8:30pm we arrived at the place where the festival would be around 8:00am. How crazy? Not that much, when it’s the only gig you’re going to be able to go of your idol.

It all started with P!nk flying down from a massive box that was 50 feet in the air and goes straight to Get The Party Started. She sings Funhouse and Ave Mary A (with such a different but amazing beginning). Could ANYONE ask for a better entrance?

Who Knew, I would say, was sung by every single person that was on that park. Seriously, what a crowd!!!! Following Bad influence, and Just Like a Pill.

While singing Please Don’t Leave Me she make her way down to the crowd. Back to the stage, she continued with her hugest successes I’m Not Dead, Unwind (old song), I Don’t Believe you and Dear Mr President – I swear the security girl in front of me knew the whole lyrics of this song.

The night got better when Butch Walker got on the stage to sing a song they both wrote together Mean and a medley of three songs My Generation, Basket Case and Roxanne – the last one while P!nk in a huge inflatable dome, surfing the grown from one side of the arena to the other. She then covered a song from the mythic band 4 Non Blondes called What’s Up?. Another two successes U + Ur Hand and Leave Me Alone and P!nk and the band left the stage. BUT…

They returned to play one more song. So what, if P!nk decides to straps herself into a harness and flys across the Arena?
It was the perfect end.

[Unfortunately, the videos are from another festival she went a few days before in UK.]

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was one of the best nights of my life.

A.
