Greetings readers,
First of press 'Play' and then keep reading.
'Don't blow your mind with why'
Hope you liked the interview last week.
This week I'll be talking an artist. Better, a band wich I got to admit to you that I only knew the single 'Creep'. But as experimental listener I loved this new album. I'm definatly talking about Radiohead.

I've done a bit of research, and found out that from 1989 (foundation of the band) to the year of 2000 they did simply alternative rock. And from 2000 on they became a experimental rock band. As Pat showed on her post last January.
This time I'll do a different type of post, I will not focus on Radiohead itself, but on the project 'The King Of Limb'.
As you already now, or should know thanks to pat's post 'The King of Limb' is more than a simple album. It's a much bigger project. They not only did a great album, as also asked rising stars of experimental music to remix this beautiful pearls.
Names as Jacques Greene, Caribou, Lone, Pearson Sound, Illum Sphere, Blawan, Modeselektor Jamie XX, and SBTRKT.
This post will consist on showing a selection of originals and the most remarkable remixes.
The originals, as you can imagine, in spite of producing experimental music, they still are a band, so basically it's a rock band producing lovely music.
I'll begin with the last track from the album 'Separator' - A beautiful chill music
Now the wonderful 'Lotus Flower' - need comments needed
And finally from the originals selection, the weardest morning, 'Morning Mr Magpie'
Now, as remixes I would like show you the wonderful job of Illum Sphere on 'Codex' (also recommend the original but as decided to choose only one...)
The work of the almost famous Lone is brilliant, the song is called 'Feral' and it looks like a Gregorian dance music
The great surprise to me and probably the greatest work of both albums is this 'Give up The Ghost (Brokenchord Remix) - i recommend the original to the less alternative people, but both are beautiful.
And now a heart melter... Little By Little (Shed Remix) - please check the original too
And one wonderful thing you can find on the remixed album is this track TKOL (Altrice Remix) - I can't exactly tell you which track are inclued. What I can only assure you is a 6 minutes soul release....
As usual I STRONGLY advise to listen/buy the album, in this case albums, in order for you to compare your opinion with mine.
(This link is a link to an illegal download, so is only my intention to share music and to give you the possibility to listen to it. If you like it buy it, if not delete it)
Next week's interview it's like a back to the future. And I'll let you imagine the rest....
See ya,
Mike Bek
