Alanis Morissette, Guardian

Alanis Morissette is one of the most remarkable and known Canadian artists of the last decades.

The 37-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter and musician, started her career in 1987 but her first international album, Jagged Little Pill only came in 1995.

With 7 albums Alanis (1991), Now Is The Time (1992),Jagged Little Pill (1995), Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (1998), Under Rug Swept (2002), So-Called Chaos (2004) and Flavors Of Entanglement (2008), besides a live album: Unplugged (1999)  and many other compilations, live albums and EPs, Morissette is absolutely one of the most recognizable artists not only for her unique style but for her peculiar vocals.

So far she won 16 Juno Awards and seven Grammy Awards.

In 2012, Alanis Morissette is going to release a new album: Havoc And Bright Lights that is scheduled to be released in August 28, worldwide.

Guardian is the advanced-single from Havoc And Bright Lights, or shortly Havoc, and was written by herself in collaboration with Guy Sigsworth
She released an official lyric video exclusively through MetroLyrics a day before the single release, on May 11.
About the song, she said: "The greatest offering and aspiration within any relationship, for me, is the willingness to combine protection, commitment, vulnerability, tenacity, tenderness, constancy, empathy, mutuality, intentionality, innocence, presence, courage, freedom-offering and beautiful humanity at the same time. This song speaks to that commitment to both my sweet son, as well as my own inner child".
