1 per week - Within Temptation live @ the Ahoy Arena, in Rotterdam

For those of you who don’t know Within Temptation, they are a dutch band and were founded in 1996 by Sharon den Adel and Robert Westerholt, the lead singer and guitarist, who are a couple. Sharon stated on an interview with 3VOOR12 that "we consider ourselves more a symphonic rock band ... we are in my opinion no gothic band".

This song is one of their most known songs of all time, Stand my ground, from their 3th album, Silent Force. This live version is from their DVD, Black Symphony, recorded with the Metropole Orchestra. It was filmed by 14 HD cameras on February 7, 2008 at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam.

I own this edition, and it has 2 CDs and 2 DVDs, and it's so worth to waste some money with it. They are one of my favorite bands and are amazing live, they have a lot of energy, Sharon has a great voice and they all interact a lot with the fans. I saw them once, in 2008, and will see them again next month.

Interesting fact: “Before Within Temptation became famous, Sharon worked for a fashion company. As the band became more successful with their hit single Ice Queen, Sharon left the fashion industry to focus on music. She utilises her fashion expertise by designing her stage costumes and the band's merchandise.”
