Created by Dani Martín and Ivan Ganchegui (who left the band in 2002), ending up to be, until 2010, Dani Martín (vocals), David Otero (guitars and backing vocals) and Chema Ruiz (bass) - being influenced by other Spanish bands from the 80's.
El Canto Del Loco (in a free translate to English as The Madman's Song) comes from Radio Futura's song El Canto Del Gallo - band that both founders had in common.
They're known for songs like Besos, Zapatillas, Eres Tonto! and Corazón.
With 5 studio albums - El Canto Del Loco (2000), A Contracorriente (2002), Estados de Ánimo (2003), Zapatillas (2005) and Personas (2010), besides several live albums and compilations, El Canto Del Loco are considered to be one of the most successful bands on Spanish music history, although some critics would say they were "one of those pop bands who dazzles teenage girls, with allegedly naive, easy melodies and themes about young love and rebellion."
Peter Pan belongs to Personas and was released as single, being related with the known story about the boy who was afraid to grow up.
"Pasó un buen día junto a mí, parecía que quería
quedarse aquí, no había manera de echarle.
Si Peter no se quiere ir, la soledad después querrá
vivir en mí, la vida tiene sus fases, sus fases..."
