The Kafkas, Blue Jungle Lights

The Kafkas are João Garcia - vocals and guitars, João Ricardo - bass guitar, Daniel Figueiredo - guitars and Fábio Silva - drums.

This young indie rock Portuguese band who first joined together in December 2009 as a small project between friends.
In late 2011, they realised they wanted something more serious for the band and they gathered with Pedro "LOBO" Bessa, in "Estúdio Eléctrico" in Porto and recorded what would be their debut EP named The Kafkas composed by three songs: All The Way, Aero-Blond Magic Tricks and Where The Sun Sets.

They now start this new year with the release of their new addictive single Blue Jungle Lights.
This song was recorded and mixed by Paulo Silva, during past December 2012.

Compared to their previous songs, which you can check on their bandcamp, you can realise how upbeat, how hawaiian-jungly-romantic this song sounds. The rhythm marked by the drums, the desperate-moving vocals and the pithy mix between the guitars it's quite exciting.

The Kafkas sound can be described as something modern and edgy - with a warm brit sounding voice, interesting guitar melodies, strong groovy bass lines and dancy drum beats.
Their appealing songs and their talent are something that should be explored.

If you are curious to see them live - check their performance on O Bacalhoeiro, in Lisbon, on January 18.

And that began to grow inside
Leaving marks that I could not hide.
So common baby, come tonight
Take your clothes off and make me feel alive!
