Casual Sex - yap, really eye-catching name - are a four-piece band from Glasgow.
Their lineup counts with Sam Smith (vocals and guitars), Edward Wood (guitars), Peter Masson (bass) and Chris McCrory (drums), a mysterious band with a lot to say.
The first thing to notice is Smith's dreamy soft voice, navigating somewhere between David Bowie and Bob Dylan, with a salty pop sound and a wild spirit, smelling like an early 80's rock and roll band.
Stroh 80 is their first single "about being caught doing the nasty with your girlfriend's pal in the aftermath of a drug party on the floor of a local occultist" - explained the frontman Sam Smith.
The initial riff has some interesting similarities with U2's Until The End of the World reminding the amount of different (and legit) references that only highlight the echoes of their talent and exquisite sonority.
The rhythm throughout the song is really catchy - the raw but very clear guitar sound is a huge plus in this song, not only keeps it interesting but also, when mixed with the small disco elements, takes us to a higher level.
Usually associated with their countrymen Franz Ferdinand, they are already considered one of the best Scottish bands from the last decades.
High title to cary? Casual Sex are thrilling, exciting and fresh. They are most certainly capable to surprise and blow everyone's minds.
