Civil Twilight, Letters From The Sky

My choice today is a south-african band named Civil Twilight.

The three member band is composed by Andrew and Steven McKellar and Richard Wouters.
They are beginning to be known thanks to their similar sound to early-U2.
Brothers McKellar grew up on a musical house, exploring their father's jazz collection and listening their mother classically trained to play the piano.
In November 1996, Andrew started a band with his high school classmate, the guitarist Richard Wouters. They scheduled their first rehearsal, meanwhile Andrew discovered his brother talent in singing and writing lyrics. Later, they started to band together with Steve on the bass, Richard giving up the guitar to learn the drums and Andrew to play the guitar.

Civil Twilight spent many years practicing in local churches and garages before they came respected locally. After finishing their education, they moved to Los Angeles in August 2005, shortly signing with a indie label named One October and co-produced their debut record, Human. The album came in 2007 and several songs appeared on nation tv shows like One Tree Hill, House and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
The album was re-released in July 21, 2009 after changing label now to Wind-Up Records. They opened to Evanescence, on their show in New York on November 4, 2009.
They also opened for Three Days Grace in Ontario, California on April 25, 2010.
