Hello!
First of all I must confess you something.
I was pretty disappointed with my post last week. Not because of what I wrote, but because I only gave you a pretty small resume about him. There was still so much to say and hear/feel about him, that I will definitly post a second part about him.
I'll try not to make the same mistake again. So this time I'll not "leave" you without first showing you everything about the artist.
And the artist this week is....... (you probably already read on the post title).....James Blake.

I am writing about James Blake this week because tomorrow he will release a new Ep. So I'll be showing you the past of Blake and a preview of he's tomorrow ep.
James Blake completes this month 23 years of life. Born in London, UK, son of a musician (father)
, and his parents always urge him to learn how to play guitar, but he never liked it, so he try the piano, and I think he made a great choice, don't you?
His first Ep was named "Air & Lack Thereof".
A more danceable track, but still a bit of feelings....
His second Ep is "The Bells Sketch Ep", and you can definitly hear some bells:
Don't tell me it doesn't touch your heart...
Then he released a brilliant Ep "CMYK":
Beautiful vocals, like honey...
Exactly one year and one day ago he released his "Klavierwerke Ep":
If you listen to this with headphones without listening to anything outside, I can assure you it looks like the world has just stopped for you
Then he spent some time recording his album, a completely different perspective, showing the beauty of his voice and his great choice of the piano.
I will show just some tracks, and as usual I advise you to listen/buy the whole album.
(This link is a link to an illegal download, so is only my intention to share music and to give you the possibility to listen to it. If you like it buy it, if not delete it)
A progressive music, with a beautiful message
a pretty captivating song
Do you feel it? This a cover version from Feist's song
The most beautiful melancholic song ever, I don't believe anybody never felt this... Another cover, but this time from his father. (previously posted by pat)
And now we're waiting for his new ep "Enough Thunder". Shall I give you any preview? Ok I will.... I already got the chance to listen to it all but I will only let you 3 of its 6 tracks.
BEAUTIFUL (previously posted by AnaLex)
A heart-melter....
I got to admit, I have tears in my eyes every time I listen to this. A cover of Joni Mitchell song.
Curious for more?
Hope I made that curious.
There is one other subject I would like to tell you. From next week on I will begin a bunch of interviews of national and international (maybe) artists. It will consist in a small interview and a mini-mix made by the interviewed. I don't want to promise you a twice-a-month interview, because I don't like to promise things I can't do. So if I can I'll do twice a month if not I'll give you at least an interview per month.
And I leave you with a gift to all you Destiny Child's & James Blake fans.
See you next week
Mike Bek
