1 per week - Celtic Woman live @ Slane Castle, Ireland 2006

Celtic Woman are known for the AMAZING vocal ability of the all their female singers.
In 2004, David Downes recruited 5 Irish women:  Chloë Agnew, Órla Fallon, Lisa Kelly and Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, and fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt, who had never performed together.

They have already released 5 albums: Celtic Woman, Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration, Celtic Woman: A New Journey, Celtic Woman: The Greatest Journey, and Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart; and sold over 6 million records worldwide and undertaken a large number of world tours.
Celtic Woman cover songs from traditional Celtic tunes to modern songs.

This song is from their album Celtic Woman: A new journey (2007).

This song was composed by Rolf Løvland, a member of Secret Garden - the duo who originally recorded this song in 2001. Initially this song was only an instrumental piece called Silent Story, but Løvland asked the songwriter Brendan Graham to add lyrics after reading Graham's novel The Whitest Flower.

You raise me up was already covered more than 125 times!! One of the most known covers is from the excellent singer, Josh Groban, who covered it in 2004.

The lyrics of this song are nothing but spectacular.

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
