Øye and Bøe are both 37 years old and met at the age of 10 in a geography contest. When they were sixteen they played together in the band Skog ("forest") and released one EP, Tom Tids Tale, before breaking up.
The duo signed with Kindercore - an American label - after appearing in European festivals during the summer of 1999.
They released their first album in 2001 called Quiet Is The New Loud. It was produced by Coldplay's producer Ken Nelson.
In 2004, they released their second album called Riot on an Empty Street, it featured contributions by Feist.
This song is from their third album, called Declaration of Dependence, which was released on October 20, 2009.
Only someone who is morally
Superior can possibly
Can honestly deserve
To rule my world
I talk before i think
You shoot before you know
Who's in your line of fire
So somehow we're the same
We're causing people pain
I stand and take the blame
You scramble to deny it (into the night)
