Today I choose Moby!
I really really like Moby he has this good vibe on his live shows, he is the kind of artists that hates to be the center of attention, but somehow he is so good that whatever he does - doesn't matter if it is more electronic, more commercial or pop it goes excellent. Almost like everything he touches turns into gold!!
Moby née Richard Melville Hall is an artist from New York, with 45 years old he is one of the most successful and known artists of the world.
He is known for the singles "Porcelain", "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?", "We Are All Made of Stars" and "Lift Me Up". He has also released other work under several different names such as Voodoo Child, Barracuda, UHF, The Brotherhood, DJ Cake, Lopez e Brainstorm/Mindstorm.
This artist, that works has a DJ, singer, composer and musician, started making music with 9 years old. With fourteen years old he started to play in a hardcore punk band. During is Philosophy studies in Connecticut's University he remained in a hardcore punk band.
He also started DJing while in university and released his first success, his single "Go", in 1991. His own albums already sold 20.000.000 copies around the world and he also remixed and produced for so many artists includind David Bowie, Britney Spears and Metallica.
This song "Alice" appears on Moby's album Last Time released in 2008.
"Cause this
This album is more electronic than his latest ones, Moby justifies it, saying:
"Last Night is basically a love letter to dance music in New York City. What I love about the New York approach to dance music is the eclecticism and the open minded-ness on the part of the musicians, the DJ's, and the people in the bars and clubs. In making Last Night, I essentially tried to take a long 8 hour night out in New York City and condense it into a 65 minute long album."
It's a pretty nice album for me, for people who like electronic music and especially Moby.
Hope you all like this choice.
This themed week is almost at the end! [planing another already!!]
With Love,
