Wolf has a variety of istruments, commonly using the ukelele, piano and viola.
His style runs between romantic folk and techno-pop. At the beginning of his career, he made some guest appearances as a viola player with bands like CocoRosieChicks On Speed and Arcade Fire.

Patrick Wolf is now being recognized for his wide variety and creativity, becoming to be well received by critics and fans, besides some "scandals" that only made him fight for his music only.

About Lupercalia, Wolf once said: "The new album has a direct narrative about love and optimism surviving through adversity and recession. I wanted to celebrate the love and hope I have found in the last few years."

The City is the first track and second single taken from Lupercalia, released as single on March 14, 2011.
About track and album, popjustice site said: "Both single and album show an increasing maturity in Wolf’s songwriting and voice, coupled with a fully fledged commercial nous which will see him embraced by both his burgeoning and very vocal independent fan base and, at last, by the mainstream."

Presenting his last album, Patrick is now making an European tour - passing in Portugal, Lisbon at TMN Ao Vivo, on October 16th. Check his tour on his official website or here.
