John Mayer is an american musician, better known for premiered songs like Your Body Is A Wonderland, Gravity, Daughters or Heartbreak Warfare.
Started his career around 1996, when he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue his passion for music. Around his 19 years, he started to play on local bars and cafes and soon started to be recognized.

John Mayer is a very peculiar artist thanks to his official permission for fans to record their show, if they don't use for commercial purposes. With this, Mayer wants to promote a bigger interaction between fans and to give the opportunity to fans recreate his show.

If at the beginning, this artist was easily recognized for Pop songs - including his awards related with his Pop phase - around 2004 he did several collaboration with hip-hop artist Kanye West - working as his producer and artist - and with the rapper Common. When asked about his collaborations and his distance from Pop music, Mayer answered "That is not music at this moment. So, for me, hip hop is what rock used to be."
It was around that time that John Mayer started to show other music interests and started several collaborations with Blues artists like BB King or Eric Clapton.

Despite being a worldwide recognized composer, John Mayer is also known for his guitar skills being invited to play on Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival.

With four albums released - Room For Squares (2001), Heavier Things (2003), Continuum (2006) and Battle Studies (2009) and one planned for 2012 with the name Born And Raised.

He also received several awards for Best Song Of The Year with Daughters, Best Pop Album with Continuum or Best Rock Performance with Gravity.

Say was written by John Mayer for Rob Reiner's movie The Bucket List and released on his official site on November 16 2007.
The musician admits this song was initially hard for him to write, because he felt the song was turning into a soul-less, being a terrible simple song. Mayer talked about writing Say: "I don't know how much harder it gets than to see a beautiful, bittersweet movie and then have to write a song that matches the tone."

The song also appeared on Continuum re-edition, appeared on Billboard Hot 100 chart and received a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
