Imagine Dragons, On Top of the World

Imagine Dragons are an American indie rock band, created in 2008.

This band from Nevada, in Las Vegas are a four-piece composed by Dan Reynolds (vocals), D. Wayne Sermon (guitars), Daniel "Z" Platzman (drums) and Ben McKee (bass guitar).

About their name, they once explained "The name of the band is an anagram," says Wayne. "We had this phrase but it was something we didn't really want to call the band so we agreed to switch the letters around and came up with Imagine Dragons (...)".

While reading the band's biography on their Facebook page there was a quote that really highlighted from everything else "But their secret weapon is the one element we've truly lost in this exhibitionistic post-internet music culture: mystery."
Mystery is the accurate word to describe their music: full of soft melodies and catchy harmonies, Imagine Dragons are one of those bands that fought through out the years and are not achieving a very good place.

Since the beginning of their career, they've released six EPs and their debut album Night Visions was released on September 2012, which you can live stream by following this link.

On Top of the World is a very sweet, upbeat and positive song. Its first appearance was on their Continued Silence EP.
This song has a really positive aura and an incredible vibe behind it. It seems to be talking someone who has a goal and that his/her mission to achieve it, reminding him/herself the reasons for doing it. It's personally inspirational, with a strong lyrics and really sweet melodies.

Kings Of Leon, Pyro

Kings of Leon is a band from Tennessee, United States of America in 2000.

The members are the brothers Caleb Followill (vocals and guitar), Jared Followill (bass), Nathan Followill (drums) and their cousin Matthew Followill (guitars).

The brothers had a very restrict education during their childhood and beginning of adolescence, they studied at home and didn't watch any TV or contemporary music.
It was after their parents divorce and few moves that bothers and their cousin joined together and created Kings Of Leon, on a tribute to their grandfather's name - Leon.

The band achieve a successful career after they released the album Only By The Night presenting songs like Use Somebody or Sex On Fire.

With 5 studio albums - Youth and Young Manhood (2003), Aha Shake Heartbreak (2004), Because Of The Times (2007), Only By The Night (2008) and Come Around Sundown (2010) - 3 EPs and 1 DVD, Kings of Leon are considered to be one of the best Alternative Rock bands nowadays.

Pyro was the second single taken from Come Around Sundown being released on December 9 2010.
According to songfacts.com, Pyro is the latin word for fire and as Caleb Followill explained to The Music Fix the original inspiration for this song "I had actually written some verses because I was watching this piece on these radical Christians that live up in the mountains and somehow the FBI got involved and pretty much went and killed them. And so I started writing kind of about that and about a guy that was kind of fed up with it all and he thought that the world that he was living in wasn't the perfect world to him so he kind of goes and burns it down. It's just one of those songs where it's like it starts out with someone thinking they know how it's supposed to be and at the end it's like, 'I can't even be that way.'"
