We Trust, We Are The Ones

The Glockenwise, Time To Go

The Glockenwise are a band created in 2007 and composed by Rafael Ferreira (guitars), Cristiano Veloso (drums), Nuno Rodrigues (vocals, guitar and keyboards) and Rui Fiúsa (bass guitar).

Even though they have a "recent" career, they have performed in stages like Vodafone Mexefest and Super Bock Super Rock.

They released their first album Building Waves (2011).

The really expected second album Leeches is predicted to be released this May.
Leeches counts with the help of João Brandão, Eduardo Maltez and João Vieira (X-Wife) and it was recorded at Estúdios Sá da Bandeira, in Porto. This record focuses on the youth dificulties and challenges through life.

Time To Go is the first single, almost as a back to their roots, with a melody high on adrenaline and enthusiasm, highlighting their irreverent personality and evolution through the years.
This song is the best choice, it has what a presentation single should have - irreverence, evolution, innovation without forgetting the band's essence.

Next shows: May 30 at Optimus Primavera Sound, Porto - Portugal.

For further information check their Facebook or Bandcamp.

The Weatherman, Proper Goodbye

The Weatherman is a Portuguese project, created in 2006 by Alex Monteiro - mentor, singer and songwriter, also playing the piano and guitars.
Nowadays, the band is composed by the drummer Nuno Sarafa (X-Wife and Best Youth) and the bassist João André (André Indiana and Mónica Ferraz) besides other invited musicians.

With two released albums: Cruisin Alaska in 2006 and Jamboree Park at the Milky Way in 2009, he is a constant surprise and a really interesting pop/rock project.

After a year off from live performances, exclusively to write and record the new album - returning with a mix of several and very different influences from electronic music to european folk that identifies The Weatherman's new and more autobiographical identity.

Proper Goodbye is the presentation single for the upcoming album Weatherman.
This song also counts with the special participation of Rui Maia from X-Wife and Mirror People.

The song is based on the question "If you were given the opportunity to choose the best possible way of saying goodbye, how would you do it?", concluding that goodbyes are rarely appropriate.
Proper Goodbye is the result of The Weatherman's ideal goodbye.
Check a post, he did about this song and Neil Armstrong.

The video was directed by Vasco Mendes.

"If you could stay
Just a little longer
You wouldn't have to wait
For a nicer proper goodbye"

themed week // David Fonseca, What Life Is For

This themed week is going to be very exciting. I've been thinking about doing it for a long time but there wasn't enough to do it properly.

I've been noticing that many artists are releasing new works, such as singles, albums or projects, during the next few months. So, this themed week is going to be related with the most recent singles taken from albums to be released between February and March. Curious to check my discoveries?

Last night, the Portuguese artist David Fonseca released his new single being included on the first album Rising from the project Seasons - to be released in March 21. The second part of Seasons, which is going to be named Falling is due to be released on next September 21. Read our post about it, clicking here.

The principal objective is to share Fonseca's life for an year on music - the deadline is March 2013.

What Life Is For is the presentation single for the first album Rising, from Seasons. The song has the contribution of Sérgio Nascimento on drums, Francisca Cortesão (Minta) on backing vocals and Rui Maia (from X-Wife) on keyboards. The production was done by David himself and Nelson Carvalho.

"A million stars up in the sky

Now can you tell me which one am I?
I never felt like this before
And my heart keeps wanting more
Then let’s not hide it, I won’t hide it anymore
Who knows what life is for?"
