themed week // Bon Jovi, You Give Love A Bad Name

Bon Jovi are a rock band from New Jersey in 1983. The members are Jon Bon Jovi (singer), Richie Sambora (guitarist), Tico Torres (drummer) and a current bassist Hugh McDonald.

Bon Jovi came from a member's joke made from Jon Bongiovi 's name.
They've made two hiatus - the first between 1990-1991 and the second between 1997-1999, due to other members solo projects.
They also were the first band to be part of MTV Unplugged.

Their work sold over 130 million copies. Bon Jovi's better known hits are It's My Like, Living On A Prayer, Always and You Give Love A Bad Name.

The band have released 11 albums - Bon Jovi (1984), 7800º Fahrenheit (1985), Slippery When Wet (1986), New Jersey (1988), Keep The Faith (1992), These Days (1995), Crush (2000), Bounce (2002), Have A Nice Day (2005), Lost Highway (2007) and The Circle (2009).

You Give Love A Bad Name is the song from Slippery When Wet, released as the first single in 1986. This song is about a woman who has rejected her lover.
The song reached the Billabong Hot 100 as number 1. In 2009, it was named the 20th greatest hard rock of all times by VH1.
