Adams is also known for big hits like Summer Of '69, When You're Gone with the English singer Melanie C, Please Forgive Me, Here I Am or I Thought I've Seen Everything.
Receiving 20 Juno Awards (with 56 nominations), two Ivor Novello Awards and three Academy Awards - for songwriting for movies - Bryan Adams is one of the most successful Canadian artists.
(Everything I Do) I Do It For You is the debut single, released on June 10, 1991.
This power ballad was co-written with Michael Kamen and Robert John "Mutt" Lange, for the 1991 movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and included on Adams' 1991 Waking Up The Neighbours.
Adams, Lange and Kamen won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television in 1992, and nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song.
