Richie Campbell, Everytime I Cry

Richie Campbell is a reggae artist, who's career started in 2004, with Stepacide but got recognized on his solo career.

Richie Campbell is a combination of his name Ricardo and Campbell which is a tribute to two of his favorite artists - Turbulence (Sheldon Campbell) and Admiral T (Chrissy Campbell).

Influenced by Marvin Gaye, Ottis Redding and Bob Marley, he mixes reggae, soul and dance.
With 23 years old, Richie is one of the most successful reggae artists in Portugal and who already work with Kynami Marley and Jason Farmer and also made the first part of Nas & Damien Marley on their performance in Lisbon. A few weeks ago he performed with Alborosie on Campo Pequeno.

In 2008, he was the first Portuguese to achieve the Soundquake top.
In 2010 he released My Path (you can download it for free here), an album with 18 tracks including a participation of Kynami Marley on 911.

Everytime I Cry appears on his debut album My Path.

Alborosie, Kingston Town

I am totally loving this themed week. Reggae is so cool and alive, it's always a pleasure to talk about music that fulfills so many people!!

I did heard about Alborosie a few months ago when my little bro asked me to find his discography and this song got stuck in my head. Today in a conversation with one of my best friends she suggested me a few reggae names and Alborosie was one of them, of course I had to use it!

He is an italian singer who had his own band "Reggae National Tickets" which was pretty successful in Italy. Later, the lider now Alborosie (before known as Stena) moved to Jamaica and was well received on the reggae circuit and got know all around the world especially with his songs "Kingston Town" and "Herbalist".

Besides his reggae career, he is a sound engineer since 2000. He had already work with Sade, Wyclef, Amy Winehouse. His famous collaborations are with reggae musicians like Angie Stone and Manu Chao.
He already worked as a producer for artists like 50 Cent and Shakira.
