Fun. are an American indie rock band, formed by Nate Ruess (lead vocals), Andrew Dost (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and Jack Antonoff (drums). On live performances, they also count with Nate Harold, Emily Moore and Will Noon.
This young band, formed in 2008, has released two albums: Aim and Ignite in 2009 and Some Nights in 2012. They have also released two live albums: Fun. live at Fingerprints in 2010 and iTunes Sessions in 2012. More information about them here.

Sleigh Ride is a popular orchestral piece composed by Leroy Anderson. This piece's original idea was in July 1946 but it was only concluded in February 1948. The lyrics came later, when Mitchell Parish wrote them in 1950.
A curious fact about this song is that although Sleigh Ride is usually associated with Christmas and it's also common to see the song on Christmas compilations, the lyrics never mention a holiday or religion matter.

Ella Fitzgerald, Neil Diamond, Spice Girls, KT Tunstall and She & Him are some of the amount of artists that covered this song.
This Fun.'s version is going to appear on a special Christmas compilation named Holidays Rule that counts with artists from jazz to pop like Paul McCartney or Rufus Wainwright.

John Lennon was a very known and talented singer/songwriter from the 60's and 70's, not only on the Beatles but also on his solo career.

Has previously mentioned, he wrote several hits songs like Imagine, Woman or Give Peace A Chance.

On his solo career he released 8 studio albums, 2 live albums, 17 compilations and 3 experimental records.

The song Mother is the second single from the 1970's album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band.
Mother was written in "memory" of both his parents, who abandoned him during his childhood. His father left him when he was a little child and his mother didn't live with Lennon but she had a good relationship with him - but she died when he was only seventeen years old, on a car accident.
On the song he reflects those moments: "Mother, you had me/but I never had you"; "Father, you left me/but I never left you".

Also the beginning of the song starts with a sound of a church bell signifying death - probably the death of his mother.
John Lennon found inspiration to write the song on several therapy sessions with Dr. Arthur Janov.
Once, he said that Mother was the song that "seemed to catch in my head".

Artists like Christina Aguilera and Barbra Streisand have covered this song.

From his 2003 album "Twentysomething", Everlasting Love is a hit love song with breaths of Jazz mixed with Pop!
It's a "new" artist very worth it to discover for Jazz lovers, he is a fresh discover and an amazing musician.
Always good to see live when the opportunity comes out.

Dandy Warhols, Bohemian Like You

Yes I know. I failed a few days, and i am really sorry. school has taken all my time from me, and i wanted something special to post.

Today is a very spring/summer day, i already hear the traditionally plane at the skies that i usually see when i go to the beach or something like that. I truly love it!
