Coldplay, Paradise

Coldplay are a British alternative rock band created in 1996.
They are composed by Chris Martin (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Guy Berryman (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jonny Buckland (guitars, backing vocals) and Will Champion (drums, percussion and backing vocals).

Known for songs like Clocks, Yellow, Speed Of Sound, Fix You or Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall - Coldplay have released five studio albums: Parachutes (2000), A Rush Of Blood To The Head (2002), X&Y (2005), Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008) and Mylo Xyloto (2011).

Their song Paradise is the second single taken from their last Mylo Xyloto. With very mixed reviews, this song has been a very successful hit.
The song seems to be about a girl's dreams and fears of the world.

The video was directed by Mat Whitecross, between London and South Africa - all the elephant characters are represented by Coldplay members.

After finishing the record, Martin and Champion gave an interview to BBC Radio where they explained that Mylo Xyloto "It's about love, addiction, OCD, escape and working for someone you don't like."
The band gave several different explanations for this album's name but at some point, Chris Martin said that it was a reference to the album's characters - the girl (Mylo) and the boy (Xyloto). The artwork is responsability of Paris 1974, a street artist - initially he was only suppose to be the "teacher" but it stayed until the end, collaborating with the band.

The album sold over 908.000 copies, becoming the UK's best-selling rock album of 2011.

Today I’m going to talk about a discover I made this week on YouTube. They are ThePianoGuys.

They started out as a piano store in St. George, Utah. Paul was selling pianos and Jon walked in and asked if he could use a piano to practice for a show he was going to play in. Paul was admired of his talent and they began to play together and create music videos together.

Their vision is to create music and videos that inspire people. We want to take that music to the world and make a difference. We have something different to offer from any other YouTube channel. We like to put a new spin on classic stuff and a classic spin on new stuff. Whatever we do, we put our heart and souls into every note and frame.

The first video I saw was an alternative version of the very well known and popular song by David Guetta and Usher, Without You.

Slow Club - Two Cousins

Slow Club is a folk-rock duo from Sheffield - England - formed by Charles Watson (vocals and guitar) and Rebecca Taylor (vocals, guitar, percussion) in 2006. They are known for their use of unusual found objects as percussion instruments, such as glass bottles.

With Slow Club, their music is a reminder that sometimes it's better to embrace the sweetest, most innocent parts of old-fashioned love.

Their first album, Yeah So, was recorded by Mike Timm at Axis Studio and was released in July 2009.
The band's second album, Paradise, was released on 12 September 2011.

Although, the songs from their debut album are "sweetly simple" and accoustic, their second album takes a different approach and has as the open track: Two cousins. This song was released in the begining of this year as a single to promote the album that was coming.

The video has the cool collaboration of Ryan François and Remy Kouakou and was directed by Lucy Needs.

News // Coldplay's new Mylo Xyloto

Coldplay are going to release a new album called Mylo Xyloto next October 24th.
The existence of this new record was revealed on Coldplay's website on August 12th. Mylo Xyloto was produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson with an additional composition by Brian Eno - as said on Coldplay's website and newsletter.
The album will be released in digital, CD and vinyl formats. There's also going to be a very special and limited edition Pop-Up album version  - that includes a 12" x 12" hardback book with graffiti pop-up art design by David A. Carter, vinyl, CD and with exclusive content like photographs, excerpts from the studio diary and band's personal notebooks.

Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall was the first single released in June 3 and the next single is Paradise, which was released at September 12, and the video which is already recorded, stars the brazillian model Cintia Dicker - the video is Hyde Williams responsibility.
Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall also appears on a digital EP released at June 26 content another two songs Major Minus and Moving To Mars.
Chris Martin also revealed Rihanna would be featuring Coldplay's Princess of China.
