News // The Black Keys in Portugal in November

The Black Keys's first visit to Portugal is confirmed on November 2012.

The band composed by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney confirmed the show in Lisbon on Pavilhão Atlântico, set on November 27, on their Official Site.
The tickets are available for purchase on next Wednesday, April 4 at 10am. The prices will be between 29€ and 39€, according to the Portuguese promoter Everything Is New the show starts at 8.30pm.

Remember The Black Keys has recently released their album El Camino was released in December 2011 and has been receiving very good and positive reviews.

News // The Cure on Optimus Alive 2012

The English band The Cure are the newest confirmation to this festival.

The band was confirmed on a Press conference about Optimus Alive'12 becoming part of names like Radiohead, Snow Patrol or Justice.

The Cure are going to perform on July 14th, the same day as Florence And The Machine.

According to Álvaro Covões from Everything is New - responsible for this festival in Algés - The Cure were initially thought to perform on the last year's edition but as their manager revealed Robert Smith decided only to play in one festival, not including Optimus Alive.

On the same press conference, Álvaro Covões revealed big Portuguese names would be announced very soon.

Once again, the festival will have a partnership with CP and you can purchase a daily ticket with the train ticket for Cascais line included for 55€, or a three-day pass for the same line for 111€.
Like the other editions, CP will have special trains after the shows.

Due to setbacks like happened last year, with some concerts being forced to cancel, Everything is New's representative revealed that a new stage was built.

News // Metronomy on Optimus Alive 2012

This English band is confirmed to the festival, being add to confirmations like Radiohead and Florence and The Machine.

Metronomy are going to be on Optimus Alive 12, on July 15, playing near names like Radiohead and Mazzy Star.

This year, Metronomy released their album English Riviera, ending the year on several lists considering it one of the best albums of the 2011.

This will be Metronomy's second visit to Portugal, participating this year on another Portuguese festival Paredes de Coura.

News // Florence + The Machine on Optimus Alive 12

Florence and her band return to Algés to perform on Optimus Alive 12.

The new confirmed artist for the Portuguese summer festival Optimus Alive, happening between July 13 to 15, is the British Florence and the Machine.
The project led by Florence Welch is going to play on July 14.

This is the third visit to Portugal, they return after a gig on Aula Magna and performance on Optimus Alive (on a secondary stage) both in 2010.
This show is to promote their recent work Ceremonials.

News // Radiohead on Optimus Alive 2012

Radiohead are officially the first confirmed band on Optimus Alive 2012.

Today the organisation confirmed the first big name to be part of Optimus Alive'12 lineup would be the English band led by Thom Yorke, Radiohead. They are the heads of July 15, the last day of the event.
The news were shared this morning by Everything Is New.

As usual, the festival is going to be on Passeio Marítimo de Algés, in Oeiras, between July 13 to 15.
The tickets are going to be available tomorrow (December 1) on the usual places: 50€ the daily ticket and 99€ the three-day pass - from January 1, thanks to the VAT (IVA) rate change, the prices grow to 53€ (daily) and 105€ (three-day pass).


The Fan Pack Optimus Alive'12 is now available, with the same prices as the tickets. Check the details here. On the press release, the promoter guarantees "Until January 31 all the necessary quantities to exchange the daily ticket for July 15".

This is the first Radiohead gig since 2002, when they gave five shows in Portugal, three on Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon and two on Coliseu do Porto. The latest work was release this year - The King Of Limbs.
