Capicua lança Medusa e volta à estrada

Um ano depois de lançar Sereia Louca e se confirmar com um dos nomes mais talentosos da nova música portuguesa, Capicua lança Medusa - Algumas remisturas e uma ou outra coisa nova. Medusa conta com 2 originais e 14 remisturas de músicas já lançadas pela rapper. Para estas remisturas Capicua chamou para trabalhar consigo alguns nomes emergentes da música nacional.

Capicua apresenta Medusa com o single de mesmo nome que conta com a colaboração de Valete.

Tal como em Sereia Louca, Medusa tem como tema de abertura um tema relacionado com as mulheres, seguindo assim a linha do álbum lançado em 2014.

Medusa foi apresentado no sábado no Porto, na Casa da Música, com os suspeitos do costume M7 e D-One, bem como Virtus, nas teclas, mpc e programações e Vítor Ferreira nas ilustrações que passam a ser feitas a partir do palco. A esta equipa juntam-se ainda Valete - participa em Medusa, o single do novo álbum e uma das músicas originais - e Tamin - participa na remistura de Soldadinho.

A apresentação em Lisboa acontecerá esta quinta-feira no Lux - dia 16 de Abril -, o concerto começará às 23h seguindo-se de um after party com Dj Sets de Sam the Kid, D-One e Stereossauro, responsáveis por algumas remisturas de Medusa.

Capitão Fausto lançam novo trabalho "Pesar o Sol"

Os jovens Capitão Fausto lançaram no final do mês de janeiro, o segundo trabalho Pesar o Sol.

Dia 6 de fevereiro e dia 22 do mesmo mês, foram os dias escolhidos para os espectáculos de lançamento, respectivamente no Lux (em Lisboa) e no Hard Club (no Porto).
Com o apoio da FNAC, quem comprar o disco tem direito à entrada num dos concertos - pode ser adquirido em fnac.pt ou em qualquer loja FNAC.

Depois de Célebre Batalha de Formariz e Maneiras Más, Litoral é o terceiro single retirado deste segundo disco.

Litoral tem um toque muito moderno dos áureos rock português dos anos 80, um gosto a pureza e simplicidade que compõem de forma bastante concisa a canção. Melodias fortes, com um passeio bonito pelo orgulho de ser Português.

Capitão Fausto são um excelente presságio para a música Portuguesa.

Post Hit, FYM

Post Hit are a Portuguese duo, initially created in November 2002 by Paulo Scavullo and Rui Pires.

A few changes went along the band's journey and nowadays, Post Hit are composed by Paulo Scavullo responsible for vocals and Flávio Pacheco controls the sax and keyboards.

They've released their debut self titled album on April 2005, with a sold out concert at LUX in Lisboa, also receiving very positive and "enthusiastic reviews".
From this record you can count with the hits Vanishing Boys and Glamorama.

HITMUSIC! is the chosen name for their next work, that will count with the help of David Benasulin becoming the producer of the upcoming new songs.

The new single is FYM (it could be a great association with our name, right?) but it's a smart acronym for Free Your Mind - pay attention to the chorus - and the video was genially directed by Paulo Seabra.
Traveling somewhere between the psychedelic and the dream side of our minds, playing with a very electronic tone almost sounding like some 80's Depeche Mode and yet, Post Hit can evoke new fancy-dancy-moves.
The song is catchy, it has an amazing power behind all the freaky connection and it makes me really curious to see what's coming next!

News // Minta & The Brook Trout are performing at Musicbox, Lisbon

Minta & The Brook Trout have confirmed a performance on one of the most important underground showrooms in Lisbon at Musicbox.

Olympia is their second album and since its release, last Summer, they've performed all around the country, in the most different rooms.
Last March, they've sold out Lux, on the Black Baloon session, and performed the classic Pet Sounds from Beach Boys.

Now on May 25th, they are coming back home and performing on the epic room Musicbox - promising not only to play songs from Olympia but also from their previous records and covers, leaving a promise of fulfilling the room with their characteristic and soft rock sound.

News // You Can't Win, Charlie Brown perform The Velvet Underground

The Portuguese band You Can´t Win, Charlie Brown are performing the 1967 album The Velvet Underground & Nico.

The idea for this concert came from Pedro Ramos, who saw in You Can't Win, Charlie Brown the perfect band to perform the iconic album by The Velvet Underground.

According to Pedro Ramos, "By the time to invite a band capable of doing this difficult task of making an homage" his first thought was You Can't Win, Charlie Brown and it became almost an obsession to get them to do it.
This priceless 60's album is really a big influence to many musicians and having Andy Warhol has the person responsible for it's artwork makes it a lot bigger.
Waiting For The Man or Sunday Morning are some of the songs that are going to be reproduced next week.

On a curious visit to the past, this modern band is making its own interpretation of The Velvet Underground & Nico. Celebrating the album's 45th anniversary, YCWCB are performing next October 12th, Friday around 11pm on the beautiful room Lux in Lisboa. The tickets have the unique price of 10€.

Remember that You Can't Win, Charlie Brown is a Portuguese Indie pop band and composed by Afonso Cabral, Salvador Menezes, João Gil, Tomás Sousa, Luís Costa and David Santos (or Noiserv). Their debut album Chromatic was released last year.

The English DJ and producer Fatboy Slim return to Portugal for intimate gigs on night clubs.

Fatboy Slim returns to Portugal to play at Lux, in Lisbon on February 9 and Pacha de Ofir, Porto on February 10.
The British artist decided to present a DJ set passing through small stages.

The tickets are available on the usual places and has a unique price of 20€.
